we're home.

we're back in singapore! after so many months away. it's just strange how it feels like i never left singapore but yet it feels unfamiliar at the same time.

3 months of happenings are too much to try to explain to anyone else, even though i have not stopped yakking to my mum since i saw her at the airport.

i miss the 6 of us, our teeth brushing en masse, hurried lunches, break time conversations, crazy photographing and bridge sessions. <:(

and i miss the 6 of us especially, when i subconsciously call the trailer 'home'.

we have left tok. and all its friendly people. (just typing that out makes my heart hurt a little). most importantly, the six of us are now dispersed in three different cities. meiyin and christina, the first to leave, are now in anchorage. shiwen and i, who left today, are in fairbanks. and adel and yuxuan are still in tok!

we miss the two of you veryveryvery much :(:( we have been travelling together right from the start and we suddenly feel very lost and alone without you guys! :(:(

had fast eddys on christina and meiyin's last night. an update of the picture we took way at the start haha. man. i miss these girls soo much already it's crazy.

and on our abrupt last day (because our departure from tok got suddenly and swiftly moved up a day), we took pictures with some of the really nice people we managed to find.

at salmon bake the day yuxuan's mum and sis visited where we had halibut, salmon and reindeer sausages!

tubing day! twas april's birthday celebration and we headed out to moonlake to tube, which is essentially when you lie flat on a rubber tube and get pulled by the motorboat across the lake. it was AWESOME FUN. especially cause it was so damn beautiful. haha and! i am proud to say that i didn't fall off at all. ha.

christmas in july! we all got turkey ham sandwiches. haha.

finally like a real tourist

been missing for a while cos our internet died and now we have to come out into the cold in order to use the internet! >.< anyhow, photos!

went fourwheeling in shannon's jeep (and levi's too) and ended up home at midnight, muddy but very very excited. hahaha:)

then we celebrated national day! cooked chicken rice for the 6 of us, and tried real hard to stick to a red and white theme. :p so we had white chocolate raspberry fondue.


then i went flightseeing with meiyin and christina!! possibly one of the best things ok has to offer. some pics of the gorgeous gorgeous mountains! (ok what's new....)

shopping trip to fairbanks with yuxuan and shannon in shannon's jeep

(i blew a hundred US dollars. haha but! it's completely justifiable considering i have not shopped for three freaking months. i was so happy to see a changing room, no joke)

and we went off road in the jeep which was pretty exciting too :D

and on that same day,

we celebrated yuxuan's 22nd!

we got back just before midnight so the girls could celebrate with her :D

(gave up harry potter for that!!)

anyway, that's the birthday girl with the superly yummy chocolate ice cream pie with a concoction of wine and jam syrup drizzled over it courtesy of our resident chef shiwen!

and four days later, we celebrated my birthday! hee.

it was a day of surpises that got slightly messed up but it was still fun!

shiwen and i FINALLY had an off day together

tho they tricked me that she got called back at first

but i found her hiding in yuxuan and adel's room haha

but i was a good girl and went back to bed,

and got woken up by a lovely recording which involved dad too! :D

and i got banana pancakes in lots of cute shapes for breakfast!

and stopped by at roxy's mum's shop for DAMN GOOD nachos and salsa

then rode back real quick on our bikes

at which point i fell off

and got really scraped up :(

but the girls were really nice and cleaned me up hehe

then we watched step up (which i really liked!)

and then! celebration at night hehe.

ok this blog has been pretty damn neglected of late. june was a crazily busy month. anyway here's a small photo update! (omg that rhymes. totally unintentional!)

meet roxy - the nicest (in my opinion) person in the whole of tok! this is the day she came over to cook with us. pictures of food and cooking process up another time maybe? haha

this was on 4th of july at roxy's mum's taco stand that just opened that day. the food is awesome! especially the salsa. yumm.

another 4th of july pic. at the dog mushers which was where the main celebrations at tok were. there wasnt much festivities over here though. and we were unfortunately working during the "parade". it was a bit of an anticlimax but oh wells. i like this photo tho! :D there are many different versions of this. haha
